in a vast variety of organic and inorganic matrices, partly down to the extreme ultratrace level. In diluted aqueous solutions, for more than 50 % of the elements limits of detection in the pg/g-range can be achieved. In solids, the achievable limits of detection are in the lower ng/g-range, in special cases even lower.
